The Story Behind Georgia Lip Whip
“It’s so beautiful, it’s ridiculous.” Georgia O’Keeffe
Georgia O'Keeffe, one of the world’s most celebrated and influential artists, wrote these words to a friend after discovering Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. She spent 50 summers there, painting her iconic images of the high desert and enormous flowers.
Kari made a memorable trip to Ghost Ranch last year, where she, too, fell under its spell. Cue her internal color wheel spinning, and soon a brand-new lip whip color was born.
Meet Georgia, inspired by the beautiful pinks and violets of the cliffs overlooking Ghost Ranch. This lip whip is our take on a cool rose with a hint of shine. It’s reflective of the elegant simplicity of the ever-changing beauty of desert pink cliffs.
Now some may ask what the difference between Jeannie and Georgia is. Well, they're certainly sisters from the same family -no doubt about it- Jeannie is a rich, cool berry, while Georgia is more of a true rose with a touch of warmth from the gold sparkle. Similar yet each unique.
We hope you'll find our new Georgia lip whip as ridiculously beautiful as we do.

I admire Georgia O’Keefe’s life and art. Although I was lucky enough to visit the museum in Sante Fe that displays her works, I have yet made it to Ghost Ranch. I hope I make it there some day in the future. Thanks for creating this beautiful lip shade . Whenever I wear it I will think of Georgia and her beloved New Mexico landscape.
