Giving Back

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”- Mahatma Gandhi.

Long ago Lisa and Kari met while Realtors working for Windermere Real Estate in Seattle. Together, they sat on the agency’s giving foundation, helping to raise thousands of dollars for local charities.  Because of this, Kari Gran, the company, has been responsive to our community right from the start by pitching in to donate time, products, and portions of our revenue to make a meaningful difference.  Giving is just in the company DNA, because it’s in the hearts of all who work here.  Turns out, it’s the same with our customers.

Throughout the years we have given to many organizations—both big and small, established and just beginning.  This has included supporting immigrant children separated from parents, environmental disasters, human trafficking, homelessness, and victims suffering from civil wars and political unrest.

  • Save the Children
  • Australian Wildfires
  • Plymouth Housing
  • Ethiopian Global Giving
  • REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade)
  • Houston Food Bank
  • WELD/Project 1426
  • UKUA Together

Wonder Whip is our ongoing commitment to giving.  We donate $10 from each sale to a charity doing wonderful work.

We started this program years ago with our first partner WonderWork, funding surgeries for children in developing nations—especially children burned by falling into fires used for family cooking.

Recipients have included:

  • Dress for Success Seattle - provides women with digital and financial literacy courses, digital connectivity, career coaching, and professional attire
  • Support those who suffered from the Maui Fire
  • REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade) - offers pathways to freedom, safety, and hope for individuals who are victims of the sex trade
  • FairFight -  an organization fighting for fair elections around the country
  • WELD/Project 1426 - provides connection to housing, employment, mental health, and recovery resources for system-impacted individuals

We continually give product to Unite 4 Her, Queers 4 Queers, Dress for Success, WELD, and REST.  We contributed during the pandemic to hard working medical workers across the United States. We also give when we can to organizations, schools and charities, with the majority of these supporting the needs of women and children.

As we like to say, we may be a small company, but small can be mighty, too. And if you give generously, the world will be a better place.
