Sunflower Oil
At Kari Gran, we pride ourselves on choosing nutrient-rich ingredients that benefit the skin in more ways than one. One of our favorites? Sunflower oil.
Essential sunflower oil, found in a handful of our products such as our Essential Cleansing Oil, Essential Serum, and signature Lip Whips, is essential to our bodies’ health as it is packed with vitamins and nutrients that strengthen our bodies, both internally and externally.
Here are just a few wonders on how sunflower oil works:
- Sunflower oil has a higher source of Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil, and the vitamin acts as an antioxidant. Antioxidants like Vitamin E neutralize free radicals, keeping them from destroying or damaging healthy cells. It’s especially useful in lotions and serums because it leaves skin feeling hydrated with just a few drops.
- As a natural emollient, sunflower oil improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture, which is more than beneficial during the months when skin is prone to drying out, which can be year-round for many. Also, a combination of castor seed oil and sunflower oil (just like our Cleansing Oil) works great for making skin supple and removing dead skin cells and impurities. That’s a double extra credit to us!
- A combination of essential fatty acids allows sunflower oil to act as a substance that combats skin impurities. The fatty acids promote cell development and encourage our skin’s rejuvenation, keeping it fresh and supple.
