Our famous Halloween icon also packs a powerful punch when it comes to nutrients, making it a winner for your skin. Here are four ways to take advantages of pumpkin properties – like alpha hydroxy acid and Vitamins A, C and E – to help your skin glow, no candle required.

Pumpkin Seed Milk
Soak 1 cup seeds in water overnight. Hang in mesh bag to dry. Blend with 4 cups water in Vitamix. Strain into jar and squeeze milk through pulp. Keeps in fridge for 5 days.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Wash raw seeds. Boil seeds in salted water for 10 minutes (2 cups water + 1 tbsp salt for every ½ cup seeds). Drain. Spread seeds out on oil-coated baking sheet and give them a little toss. Sprinkle with fave spices, like cumin or chile powder. Bake at 400F on top rack until seeds start to brown (5-20 mins). Let cool and enjoy!

Pumpkin Exfoliation
1 tsp fresh pumpkin + 1 tsp papaya + 1 tsp honey . Mix, massage on face, rinse off a few minutes later with cool water. Bliss!

Pumpkin Face Mask
3 tbsp pumpkin puree + ½ tsp honey + ¼ tsp extra virgin olive oil. Mix together in a glass bowl. Apply it with clean brush to a clean face, avoiding eye area. Relax and soak up the goodness for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and moisturize as usual.
