Since founding Kari Gran Skincare in 2011, Clean Beauty has become the frontier of the skincare industry. And rightfully so. But, with everyone hopping on the bandwagon and new brands popping up left and right, it can be confusing as to what the term means and why it has defined everything we’ve done since day one.

The Big Picture
Here are a few guiding principles we hold firm to as we formulate our clean beauty skincare.
The skin is our largest organ, and it absorbs much of what we apply to it.
Your skin is a barrier that protects against bacteria, pathogens and harsh environmental elements, while simultaneously keeping skin’s natural moisture in.
This barrier needs to be reinforced and supported, not broken down and stripped with harsh ingredients.
Ingredients often overshadow the big picture of a product’s total impact in the world. We focus on the entire life cycle of the product: from raw materials sourcing, to packaging, to shipping and beyond.
Life is busy and the last thing you want to spend your time doing is jumping from brand to brand, trying out every “holy-grail” product. You don’t want to be marketed to with “anti-aging” bs. And we don’t want that for you either. We offer organic skincare as simple (and effective) as it should be.
Our clean beauty skincare products
Kari Gran Skincare provide sessential formulas that blend together organic, wildharvested and Non-GMO clean beauty ingredients. Our modern formulas work toprevent free-radical damage from oxidative stress (the number one cause ofpremature aging). The formulas incorporate gentle, powerhouse sources of Vitamin C like Sea Buckthorn, and safe, clinically tested, sun-protection factors like Non-Nano Zinc Oxide. We go the extra mile to incorporatesun-defending co-factors like Red Raspberry and French Plum Oils into our Essential SPF. Why? Because we believe in value and seek to provide an edited arsenal of products that work hard for you.
Speaking of value, did you know that most facial moisturizers on the market are made up of ~70% water? Although hydration is of equal importance to moisturization, this ratio leaves much less room for active ingredients. Beyond missing out on more of those protective and nourishing active ingredients, in a way it’s also more wasteful. Think about it: remove that distilled water from your jar of moisturizer and you’re left with 30% of what you paid for? It’s no wonder clean beauty skincare products like our Essential Serum and Essential Serum Balm have become staples in recent years. Instead of loading them with 60-80% water, we pack them to the brim with only potent ingredients which work to hydrate, fortify, and strengthen skin.
What we know for sure
The world is complicated, but your skincare routine doesn’t have to be. The 11-step ritual is a fun diversion every now and then but it’s not practicalfor you, or the planet.
