TIME TO GET YOUR SUN BLOCK, SUN GLASSES AND HAT AND ENJOY THE SUN

We are big fans of sun protection around here. After spending the winter and spring babying our skin with Kari Gran skin care products we don’t want to sabotage our hard work with excessive sun exposure. But no need to stay inside all summer. Instead we are committing to wear sun block (Coola is a favorite), sun glasses (big, fabulous Kathryn Heburn inspired) and sun hats (the wider the brim the better) from our friends at the Wallaroo hat company (Celeste in natural pictured).

Most Wallaroo Hats offer a UPF of 50+ that protect against 97.5% of the sun’s rays. Wearing a hat can actually reduce the risk of developing skin cancer, not to mention keep the skin looking younger. Wearing protective clothing, including a broad-brimming hat, is essential part of a complete sun protection and beauty regimen.

For additional information about how to get involved with reducing the incidence of skin cancer, please visit www.wallaroohats.com or www.skincancer.org.

The Boulder, Colo.-based Wallaroo Hat Company manufacturers an Aussie inspired line of UPF 50+, colorful, fashion-forward everyday hats. Wallaroo was founded by Stephanie Carter and Lenya Shore in 1999 after a trip to Australia where they discovered the Aussie secret to sun protection. Wallaroo hats are available at www.wallaroohats.com, in catalogues and more than 3,000 outdoor, resort, golf, gardening and boutique retail stores throughout the United States.
