SUMMER MOCKTAILS ARE A THING OF BEAUTY

This summer I’m all about mocktails. Alcohol dehydrates your skin and with two small toddlers, I have no business imbibing. I can hardly muster he energy to chase them around sober. So, instead of throwing back a 300 calorie G&T this summer I’ve been sipping a hydrating and antioxidant-fueled watermelon mocktail. It’s simple, full of flavor and free of hangover regret. The recipe is below. Yummy!
Watermelon Slush Smoothie Mocktails
- 1 small watermelon
- 2 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk
- Mint sprigs
Cut the watermelon into small chunks and freeze overnight. When fully frozen, blend the icy watermelon pieces and the almond milk in a blender until smooth. Pour into a glass and garnish with a few sprigs of mint. Enjoy!
Added bonus – my kiddos can safely sip these while we enjoy the sunny Seattle summer.
