Lip Whip fans – a subtle change is taking place. Fear not, it will remain the little Lip Whip you know and love, but with a teeny tiny ingredient tweak that makes for an even more premium product.

And it’s all about minding our beeswax.

Because all of our products are handmade (and hand poured) using the finest natural, organic, wild-harvested and non-GMO ingredients available, there can be small natural variations from batch to batch based on the fresh ingredient run.

A few weeks ago we received our latest crop of beeswax. And while natural variants are expected, it was a touch too yellowy and simply wouldn’t do given the color impact it could have on our next Naked (uncolored) Lip Whips run. We went in search of a better option and scored ourselves the most beautiful batch of creamy white beeswax – we’ll be using it on our next batch of Naked Lip Whips, and are expecting some pretty creamy, dreamy results.

Beeswax actually starts off white and gets its range of yellow hues through various aging and processing steps. However, white beeswax is considered “top shelf” in the wax world, as it is the purest and most refined. Historically it was often created as gifts for royalty…oooh la la.

And while we integrate this change, all the Lip Whips will continue to pack the same great beeswax punch – this power ingredient heals and softens lips while sealing in hydration, and works like a charm. BTW, in comparison, most commercial lip balms use petrolatum (a.k.a petroleum jelly), a no-no ingredient that prevents skin from breathing while creating a false sense of hydration.

We can’t wait to share the results with you with our new white wax, and will share the details once we’ve whipped up the new batch. It’s all part of the beauty of working with all natural ingredients!
