Whether it’s in beauty, work or life, everyone loves a multitasker. They can just do so much. And while we don’t have fancy mega-long names for our products to tout what all they can accomplish, they are certainly multitaskers galore. In particular, our “all purpose” Essential Serum. It was named that way not only because it’s made from essential oils, but because it’s, well…an essential part of the skin care routine.
The divine-smelling serum is a potent blend of 15 plant and essential oils known for their nourishing properties. Ingredients like Organic Rosehip Seed Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil and Organic Avocado Oil, plus a boost of natural Vitamin E, combine for the ultimate skin-loving power.
In its classic form, we recommend using the Essential Serum both day and night on your face and décolletage. But oh, you can do so much more! Here’s the rundown, but remember these ratios are just rules of thumbs, and you should adjust as you see fit for your skin.
Moisturizer: Combine three pumps of our Hydrating Tonic and one pump Essential Serum for a face-only daytime moisturizer. For a heavier moisturizer, try four pumps Hydration Tonic with four pumps Essential Serum for nighttime, and use it on your face, neck and décolleté. This is just a jumping off point, so play with it! Remember, most lotions and creams are at least 80% water and the serum is pure product so a little goes a long way.
Eye Cream: This is super easy. After moisturizing, apply a little extra Serum dab around your eye area in place of an additional eye cream. It will give that delicate skin added moisture and nourishment.
Cream Blush/Sheer Cheek Highlighter: Mix mineral blush with one pump of Essential Serum in your hand, then rub it on the apples of your cheeks or cheekbones for sheer color coverage that radiates a dewy hue. If you want more of a pop, continue to add the mineral blush and build to the desired shade.
Liquid Foundation: Similar to the cream blush, mix a small ½ scoop of mineral foundation with one or two pumps of Essential Serum, and you’ve got an instant liquid foundation. Play around with the foundation to serum ratio to find the amount of coverage you’re looking for, from heavy to light. This works especially well for fluctuating weather, as you don’t need to keep multiple foundations hanging around your beauty cabinet – just mix up a fresh batch for whatever you need that day. You can also mix it in with your favorite sunblock.
Have fun being effective!
